Indra Sjafri Calls The Quality Of Indonesian U-23 Players More Qualified Than Previously

JAKARTA - Indra Sjafri has been officially appointed as the coach of the U-23 Indonesian national team who will appear at the 2025 SEA Games in December. According to him, the quality of the current players is much better than before.

"Not to be arrogant, the current players, I think the quality is more qualified than the 2023 SEA Games," said Indra Sjafri about his players quoted on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

After officially appointing Indra Sjafri as a tactician on Monday, September 29, 2025, PSSI also immediately reported that 50 names of players had been registered for the 2025 SEA Games.

From the list that has been known, as many as 32 players will be summoned at the first phase of the training camp which will be held starting Friday, October 3, 2025.

Will intersect directly with the squad, Indra Sjafri did not escape to thank the Super League operator, namely I-League. You see, the competition operator is currently setting regulations to require clubs to play U-23 players.
