Brigadier DS Rantis Passenger Collis Affan Kurniawan Sanctioned Sorry
Brigadier DS, a Brimob Police personnel who is a passenger of a Brimob tactical vehicle that crashed into an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) Affan Kurniawan, was sentenced to apologize.
Head of the Kepenmas Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division, Kombes Erdi A. Chaniago, said the sanction was terminated at the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) hearing which was held at the TNCC Building at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Tuesday.
"Ethical sanctions include the statement that the act of violators is a disgraceful act and the obligation to verbally apologize before the KKEP trial and written to the leadership of the Police," Erdi said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 30.
Erdi said that the act alleged against Brigadier DS was not reminding the Company Commander of Kompol Kosmas K. Gae and Bripka Rohmad as drivers of rantis vehicles in handling demonstrations in Jakarta on August 28, 2025, resulting in casualties named Affan Kurniawan.
For his actions, Brigadier DS was declared to have violated Article 5 paragraph (1) letter c of Police Regulation (Perpol) Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission.
In addition to ethical sanctions, Brigadier DS was also sentenced to administrative sanctions in the form of special placement (patsus) for 20 days.
"It has been carried out from August 29 to September 17, 2025 in the Patsus room of the Provos Bureau of the Propam Police Division and the National Police's Korbrimob," said Erdi.
Based on the verdict handed down, Brigadier DS stated that he accepted the decision of the panel.
On Monday (29/9), another Brimob rantis passenger, Aipda MR, underwent an ethics trial and was sentenced to apologize and special placement for not reminding Kompol Kosmas and Bripka Rohmad when the collision incident occurred.
Thus, there are three Brimob personnel as rantis passengers who have not undergone an ethics trial, namely Bripda M, Bharaka Y, and Bharaka J.
Previously, on September 3 and 4, 2025, the National Police's Propam Division had conducted an ethics trial against two Brimob personnel who sat at the front of the rantis, namely Bripka Rohmad as the driver of the rantis and Kompol Kosmas K. Gae as the personnel sitting beside the driver.
In an ethics trial on September 3, 2025, Kompol Kosmas K. Gae was sentenced to dismissal for his involvement in this collision incident.

Other sanctions given are ethical sanctions, namely the behavior of Kosmas as a disgraceful act and administrative sanctions in the form of patsus.

Bripka Rohmad was also sentenced to administrative sanctions in the form of placing narcotics and ethical sanctions, namely that his actions were declared a disgraceful act and were asked to apologize verbally before the KKEP trial and in writing to the police leadership.
