The Riau Islands Police Did Not Find The Elements Of Intentionality In The MBG Toxic Case, The Matter Of Glass Sheets Will Be Coordinated
BATAM - Riau Islands Police Chief (Kepri) Inspector General Asep Safrudin emphasized that there was no intentional element in the alleged poisoning of Free Nutrition Food (MBG) that occurred in the area.
From the results of the deepening carried out by his staff regarding the alleged MBG poisoning case that occurred in Karimun, Batam and Bintan, because there were factors that were missed, such as delivery times, quality control, and health conditions of MBG recipients.
"Investigation is in the process, the findings we conveyed earlier, there is no intentional element or they (SPPG) deliberately keep the glass, it doesn't exist," Asep said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 30.
The Riau Islands Police have dispatched Ditreskrimsus teams to a number of areas where MBG problems were found, namely Karimun, Bintan and Batam.
From the results of the deepening, he said, MBG problems occurred due to several factors, especially related to quality control in the SPPG kitchen, selection of quality raw materials, cleaning problems, and food health control, or unsynchronous delivery times.
He gave an example, there is a SPPG kitchen that has prepared MBG at 09.00 WIB, it turns out that children's schools can only eat at 11.00 WIB, while the food has been cooked since 05.00 WIB. The existence of this delay can cause food to become stale.
"Well, this must be evaluated. It needs synchronization between schools and SPPG. Why did that miss happen. Well, this should not happen," he said.
There were also problems, namely before consuming MBG, children had already eaten outside the school with food quality, food safety, out of control.
"There are other factors, they (children) consume snacks outside of MBG, snacks that don't know their hygienic people," he said.
Another factor is that there are children who have allergies to certain foods, but are not communicated to the school and SPPG.

Because Asep continued, several school children he met, hoped for the MBG, because their parents did not provide breakfast at home, due to the busyness of their parents who worked. There are also families who can't afford it.
"There are a lot of problems like this, so we left from there, we the police considered that we needed to talk together with all MBG stakeholders," said Asep.
The Kapolda said that the MBG problem, such as the alleged poisoning, found glass flakes in the turnover occurred in the Riau Islands region, but the amount was not as significant as in other areas.
Therefore, his party invited the head of the SPPG, the head of the health office, the head of the education office throughout the Riau Islands region, and the BPOM to discuss to mitigate the problem of MBG being even bigger in the area.
"Alhamdulillah, in Riau Islands there are problems (MBG) but not many. We are currently investigating, the inspection process. As a result, there are problems with the delivery mechanism, the problem of snacks outside MBG, and we are currently confirming whether the problem is from the SPPG or the snack food ingredients," said Asep.
