Stop Third Party Cooperation, Cianjur Regency Government Stops Retribution Entering Cibodas Tourism

JAKARTA - The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Cianjur in West Java, has stopped the withdrawal of levies at the entrance to the Cibodas tourist area.

Head of the Cianjur Regency Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar) Ani Reza Addarobi said cooperation with third parties in the Cibodas tourist area was stopped because there was no agreement in the cooperation agreement.

Thus, one-door ticket payments are enforced, including in collaboration with the Cibodas Botanical Gardens and other tourist destinations.

"As of September 28, 2025, a cooperation contract with a third party has been terminated, so that the management of the tourist area is taken over by the Cianjur Regency Government through the Cianjur Disbudpar," he said in Cianjur, Tuesday, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that third parties did not meet a number of conditions determined in the extension, one of which was related to the retribution deposit which was far from the agreement, so cooperation would be carried out after the Regent Regulation (Perbub) had just left.

After the cooperation was stopped, he said, it was agreed with the Cianjur DPRD, the people of Cibodas and tourism actors, where tourists entering the Cibodas tourist area simply to pay for tickets at tourist destinations such as Cibodas Botanical Gardens, Komodo Park and TNGGP.

"Until the Perbup only comes out in the next three months, entering the Cibodas tourist area, the retribution is no longer drawn at the main gate, it is enough to pay for tickets at the entrance to the destination tourist destination," he said.

He hopes that by temporarily stopping the retribution at the entrance gate of the Cibodas tourist area, it can increase the number of visits to favorite tourist destinations in the northern region of Cianjur, including the economy of the surrounding community.

The reason is that so far tourism actors in the Cibodas tourist area have received many complaints from tourists regarding admission tickets that they have to pay many times even though their goal is only to go to the Cibodas Botanical Gardens.

"We hope that the implementation of this policy can boost the number of visits to the Cibodas tourist area, including the economy in tourist areas, which many traders complain about continues to decline due to the large number of tickets that must be paid by visitors," he said.

He added that currently his party is trying to communicate with TNGGP to BRIN so that the retribution can be applied one door with entrance tickets for tourist areas, making it easier for tourists to just pay once.

"We are still waiting for answers from TNGGP and BRIN, so that the implementation of one door can be implemented so that tourists no longer complain about the many tickets that must be paid, so it seems expensive to vacation to the Cibodas tourist area," he said.
