WhatsApp Launches Live Photos Support For IOS Users
JAKARTA Meta announced that its messaging application, namely WhatsApp, now supports the delivery and acceptance of Live Photos. This feature will be available specifically to iOS users.
This Live Photos support is part of a lineup that WhatsApp has launched in recent months. By releasing the Live Photos feature, Meta Wants to improve user experience in sharing multimedia on its platform.
"Now you can share Live Photos (iOS) and Motion Photos (Android) which add voice and movement to the moment you put on camera," Meta said, quoted on Tuesday, September 30.
When users send or receive Live Photos on WhatsApp, they can see the image moving for a fraction of a second. This effect works like when users see various images in the Photo app for their iOS devices.

Images with Live Photos support will display special indicators in the upper left corner. In addition to movement, when the image is tapped, the audio recorded when taking photos can also be played.
Although it has been officially announced, the Live Photos support is still in the launch stage in stages. Some iOS users reported that they could already receive Live Photos, but could not send them to other users.
As Meta said, similar support also comes on Android, but with different names. WhatsApp will support Motion Photos with a similar concept, namely letting photos move before becoming images. It is not yet known whether this feature has been expanded.
