Purbaya Make Sure There Are No Arrears In Subsidies And Energy Compensation In 2024

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance stated that the payment of subsidies and energy compensation in 2024 is IDR 502 trillion.

The budget consists of energy subsidies of IDR 177.6 trillion, non-energy subsidies of IDR 115.1 trillion, and compensation of IDR 209.3 trillion.

Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadive said that all subsidized payments and compensation in 2024 have been completed by the government to SOEs.

"I want a little response to the claims from BUMN, that some subsidies have not been paid in 2024, I have confirmed with our team here, in 2024 the subsidies have been fully paid, including compensation, the last one in June for Pertamina and PLN, so it should be clear, I don't know why they haven't entered their accounts yet," he said in a working meeting with Commission XI of the DPR, Tuesday, September 30.

Furthermore, Purbaya added, based on data owned by the government, there will be no arrears in payments for 2024.

However, he emphasized that there are still claims stating otherwise, so that the relevant parties immediately convey directly.

"As far as I know, until now all of 2024 has been paid for the data. Later, if they have claims of unpaid data, tell them to deal with it as soon as possible, sir. But what we have is that, indeed in 2025 there is still something that has not been paid, in the first quarter, second. But we are following the procedure that is currently running," he said.

Dia menyampaian, sementara untuk tahun 2025, pembayaran akan dimulai pada Oktober 2025, khususnya untuk tagihan yang berasal dari kuartal I dan II.

"Kalau kita lihat nanti bulan Oktober, yang triwulan pertama, kedua, akan kita bayarkan penuhnya," tambahnya.

Dia menjelaskan, proses pencairan subsidi dan kompensasi dilakukan setelah melalui audit dari Badan Pengawasan Keuangan dan Pembangunan (BPKP).

Menurutnya, audit tersebut memberikan rekomendasi atau hasil perhitungan yang menjadi dasar bagi pemerintah untuk melakukan pembayaran.

He said, while for 2025, payments will begin in October 2025, especially for bills originating from the first and second quarters.

"If we look at it later in October, the first, second, quarter, we will pay in full," he added.

He explained that the process of disbursing subsidies and compensation was carried out after going through an audit from the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

According to him, the audit provides recommendations or calculations that form the basis for the government to make payments.
