Farhan, A Missing Boy At Sasak Beach, Found Lifeless

SIMPANGKAP - A joint team from the Pasaman National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), West Sumatra (West Sumatra) found a child who was dragged by Sasak Beach, Farhan (14) in a state of death, Tuesday at around 10.05 WIB.

"The victim was found dead and is currently being evacuated to a funeral home in Sasak, Sasak Ranah Pasisia District," said SAR Post Coordinator Pasaman (OSC) Novi Yurandi at Simpang Empat, Tuesday 30 September.

According to him, the victim was found by a joint team 200 meters from the initial location where the victim took a bath with his friends in floating conditions.

He said during the search for a joint team consisting of Basarnas members, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), members of the Pasaman Police, the Sasak and Pasisian Disaster Alert groups (KSB) as well as local groups of heroes and the community.

During the search, he said, his party lowered rescue car equipment, LCR + Mopel, water equipment, medical equipment, communication equipment, drones and other equipment.

He explained that the incident when the victim was dragged away began on September 29, 2025 at around 16.30 WIB, the victim went to Sasak Beach and took a bath, and was dragged by the waves with his friend Nugi (12). Meanwhile, his friend Nugi survived.

Receiving this information, the public immediately conducted a search on Monday (29/9) until 18.00 WIB. However, the victim was not found and the SAR Post also conducted a search.

"In the morning at 07.30 WIB the joint team continued the search for victims and was finally found dead," he said.

He appealed to the public to increase vigilance while on vacation on the beach and riverbanks, because the weather is currently extreme.

"Always be vigilant. Parents are expected to keep an eye on their children if they play," he said.
