Officers Take Action Against Naughty Tire Patchers In Cawang
The Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of Jatinegara District took action in the form of a warning against unscrupulous tire patch business actors operating around Jalan DI Panjaitan, East Jakarta.
Head of Satpol PP Jatinegara Subdistrict Teguh Nurdin Amali said his party had repeatedly recorded and reprimanded unscrupulous tire patch business actors for disturbing road users.
"Efforts to collect data and tightening for rogue tire patching businesses are often carried out around the location," Teguh said when confirmed in Jakarta, Tuesday.
However, the business practice took place secretly or cat and mouse, especially when the officers took action.
"Once we arrived, sometimes they were not there. When they were careless, the business appeared again. Therefore, we will increase routine patrols," said Teguh.
According to him, the latest report was received after a nail mine volunteer experienced an unpleasant incident with a tire patch. Officers immediately checked the scene.
Based on the results of monitoring, since Monday (29/9) night, tire patch business activities in the area have no longer been seen.
Even so, he ensures that routine patrols continue to be carried out in order to maintain the comfort of motorists.

"Starting last night, the tire patch business at the location will no longer be visible, and routine patrol efforts will be carried out, including sweeping of umbrella frame mines to provide comfort and safety for road users," explained Teguh.
Previously, a viral video on social media of a nail mine volunteer named Usmanto (36) being chased by a man carrying bamboo on Jalan DI Panjaitan towards Cawang, East Jakarta, Friday (26/9) night.
Usmanto explained that the chase occurred when he was clearing nail mines using a magnet.
"Yes, Friday (26/9) that night again cleaned the mine, but suddenly someone came to me with bamboo like that while chasing it," said Usmanto when confirmed in Jakarta, Monday (29/9).
He routinely cleans the nail mines on Jalan DI Panjaitan in the direction of Cawang to the Kalimalang red light.
However, because at that time he was worried about getting violence, Usmanto admitted that he had spontaneously fled the location.
"The person who patched the tires was chasing it, I immediately ran away, the person brought the bat, so I was shocked," said Usmanto.
He also revealed that tire repairmen in the area are often open at night until early morning.
"It doesn't exist in the afternoon, it's on the left side of the road after sunset until early morning, so in the afternoon it doesn't exist," said Usmanto.
In the video uploaded by the Instagram account @jakarta.terkini, you can see a dark atmosphere on Jalan DI Panjaitan in the direction of Cawang, and a volunteer named Usmanto seems to be being chased by someone who carries bamboo.
Usmanto's colleague, who was also at the scene, then confronted the action and questioned the purpose of the pursuit.
