Prabowo Admits He Doesn't Have A Revenge With Anies, PKS: Western Style Leaders Don't Do It

JAKARTA - PKS DPP chairman Mardani Ali Sera, responded to President Prabowo Subianto's statement claiming to have no grudge against his rivals in the 2024 presidential election, Anies Baswedan. According to Mardani, Prabowo is a leader who has an open style like Western culture.

"Good. Pak Prabowo is an open person, Western style, does not contain or relax. We need a leader like this," Mardani told reporters, Tuesday, September 30.

Prabowo's confession was conveyed during a speech at the peak of the PKS National Conference VI at the Sultan Hotel, Central Jakarta, Monday, September 29. Prabowo initially mentioned about his defeat in the presidential election before finally being elected as President.

Prabowo brought up that he was not supported by PKS in the 2024 presidential election. However, he admitted that he did not hold a grudge with Anies Baswedan, who was originally a PKS presidential candidate.

"We want to win but we also have to be ready to lose. If we want to learn to lose, learn from Prabowo Subianto. Five elections, four defeats. PKS follows again," said Prabowo.

Prabowo laughed when he recalled that PKS did not support him at the beginning of the 2024 presidential election. Even so, he emphasized that all parties must unite in developing the country.

"Two times I support, two times I lose. What I win, you don't support anymore, ha-ha-ha... But okay, passing by. We are united now for the sake of the nation and state," he said.

Prabowo then mentioned his rivalry with Anies in the 2024 presidential election. He admitted that he did not hold a grudge with Anies even though he was given an 11 out of 100 during the presidential candidate debate.

"Yes, politics like that, politics must be crowded, there is no problem. I'm just being honest, I don't have a grudge with Anies, no. If I give it a score of 11, I'm not angry with it. Eh, it's true, you know, actually he helped me win, because mothers feel sorry, you know, right," he said.
