YOGYAKARTA - On October 1, 2025, Indonesia will commemorate the Sanctity Day of Pancasila, a very important day to commemorate the historic events and struggles of the Indonesian nation. In order to make the commemoration a success, the Ministry of Culture (Kemenbud) has issued a circular that regulates procedures and appeals related to the implementation of the ceremony and raising of the flag. One of the important things conveyed in the circular is the appeal to raise the flag to commemorate the Sanctity Day of Pancasila.

Circular Letter of the Ministry of Culture Number 8417/MK.L/TU.02.03/2025 appeals to all Indonesian people, both government agencies and the general public, to carry out flag-raising on a predetermined date. On September 30, 2025, flags at all central and regional agency offices, representative offices of the Republic of Indonesia abroad, education units, and all components of society are advised to fly half a pole as a form of respect for the commemoration of Pancasila Sanctity Day. Then, on October 1, 2025, the flag must be flown by a full pole starting at 06.00 local time.

In addition to the appeal regarding raising the flag, the Ministry of Education and Culture Circular also included the official schedule and place of the 2025 Pancasila Sanctity Day official ceremony. This ceremony will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 08.00 WIB, at the Pancasila Sakti Monument, Lubang Buaya, East Jakarta. The ceremony was attended by various high state officials, including the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Vice President, and a number of other officials, as well as people who wanted to take part in the event in person.

This ceremony will be held solemnly, and all participants are asked to wear clothes that comply with the provisions. The man will wear Full Civil Clothing (PSL), women wearing National Clothing, and the TNI/POLRI wearing Ceremony Service Clothing (PDU) III.

The composition of events at this ceremony included several stages, including the raising of the Red and White, reports of ceremonial officers, reading Pancasila text, reading the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as reading and signing Ikrar by the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives. The ceremony will also end with the offering of songs by the Choir Team and closing by the Ceremony Commander.

It is important for us to remember that Pancasila Sanctity Day is not just a warning, but a moment to strengthen the sense of nationalism and appreciation for the values contained in Pancasila as the basis of the Indonesian state.
