BGN Sets MBG Teacher Incentives Of IDR 100 Thousand Liquid Every 10 Days

JAKARTA - Good news for educators. Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Nanik S. Deyang announced incentives of Rp. 100,000 for teachers in charge of the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) to be disbursed every 10 days.

This policy is officially stated in BGN Circular (SE) Number 5 of 2025 concerning Providing Incentives for Teachers Responsible for the MBG Program at Beneficiary Schools.

"The mechanism for implementing and accountability of funds must follow the applicable regulations. To all Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) to carry out and supervise the provision of incentives to every teacher who has been appointed," said Nanik S. Deyang when confirmed in Jakarta, Tuesday (30/9).

Government Appreciation For Honorary Teachers

This incentive fund comes from the operational costs of related school SPPGs. This policy is called Nanik as a form of government appreciation for the strategic role of teachers in supporting the success of nutrition programs targeting school children, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers.

Nanik assesses that teachers have a vital role as the student's main companion as well as the driving force in instilling an understanding of healthy diets and clean living behavior in the school environment.

"The provision of this incentive is not just financial compensation, but a form of recognition for the dedication and contribution of teachers in supporting the success of the program," he said.

SE BGN 5/2025 requires every beneficiary school MBG to appoint 1 to 3 teachers in charge of food distribution. The appointment of teachers is carried out by school principals with priority to auxiliary teachers and honorary teachers. In addition, the daily rotation system is also recommended so that the implementation of tasks is more evenly distributed.

BGN hopes that this incentive policy can increase teacher motivation, so that their role in ensuring the smooth distribution of MBG and increasing the nutritional status of the nation's children can run optimally.
