Corruption PT INTI: KPK Immediately Set State Loss Rate

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that the calculation of state losses related to the alleged corruption in the 2017-2018 computer and laptop procurement cooperation project at PT Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (INTI) Persero is almost complete.

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo conveyed this development after the examination of Natalia Ghozali as Director of PT MBK. Natalia Ghozali's statement was taken together with an auditor of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, on Monday (29/9).

"The witness was present to be clarified by the BPKP auditor in the context of finalizing the calculation of state losses arising in the case," Budi said in a written statement quoted on Tuesday (30/9).

Allegedly Loss Of The State Of Up To Rp100 Billion

The KPK previously suspected that the project for procuring computers and laptops at PT INTI Persero had cost the state up to Rp100 billion. This figure is an initial estimate and is said to be able to increase in line with the finalization of the calculation.

Allegations of corruption in this state-owned company are investigated using a new, generalized Investigation Order (Sprindik). This general Sprindik indicates that no suspects have been officially determined. Investigators are still focused on collecting and learning all the existing evidence.

This case is also confirmed not to be related to the baggage handling system (BHS) project that ensnared the former President Director of PT INTI, Darman Mappanggara, in 2019.

Confiscation Of Billions Of Rupiah Deposits

To strengthen evidence, the KPK previously conducted a search at the Bandung branch of Jasa Raharja Putera Insurance office on February 7. From this search, investigators confiscated deposits worth Rp. 6.4 billion along with other documents that were strongly suspected of being related to this corruption case.
