Victims Of Parung Panjang Mining Life Reach 115, Dedi Mulyadi Sindir Actor Demo
The issue of mining activities in Parung Panjang, Bogor Regency, has returned to a sharp spotlight. In addition to damaging infrastructure, this rock and sand mining activity has reportedly claimed many lives.
West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, revealed surprising data related to the adverse effects of this activity. He said the death toll from a mining accident had reached nearly 115 people, while the injured exceeded 150 people.
"Almost 115 people died. More than 150 people were injured. Infrastructure was damaged. Why did when someone died, the infrastructure was damaged, there was no demo?" said Dedi, while being interviewed at the Pakuan Building, Bogor City, Monday (29/9/2025).
Dedi questioned the lack of reaction from the community when the victims fell and the infrastructure was badly damaged. He suspects that the protests that have emerged so far are more dominated by parties who have only economic interests.
"Who is the demo? What is the exact demonstration that is sufficient interest in the economic cycle is damaged," he continued, insinuating the actors behind the demonstration.
Three Balances Dedi Mulyadi: Economy, People, And Infrastructure
Dedi Mulyadi emphasized that the handling of mining problems in Parung Panjang cannot take sides on one side alone. He emphasized the importance of finding a balance so that all sectors run harmoniously.
"I stand tall above all interests. The economy must run, the people must be protected, the infrastructure must be good," he said.
He wants mining activities to continue to operate as an economic motorbike, but they must not sacrifice the safety and quality of life of local residents. According to Dedi, the government's attitude, should not only be pro mining or pro-environmental, but must go hand in hand.

Special Road Challenges And Mutual Cooperation Of Entrepreneurs
One of the main solutions that continues to be discussed is the construction of special mining roads. However, Dedi reminded, this plan must be accompanied by very mature calculations.
"Want to build a special mining road with APBN funds of IDR 1.2 trillion? How much income from the mine? It must be calculated first," he said.
He wants to ensure that the road construction project not only burdens the state budget, but also there must be a significant contribution from mining entrepreneurs.
Dedi appreciated the commitment of the Bogor Regency Government to be willing to acquire land. However, he is now challenging mining entrepreneurs to work together.
"Now the district government is willing to free up its way. Later I will ask, the government will not work together with the government to build mining roads," he said.
According to Dedi, the involvement of entrepreneurs is a form of fiscal justice, where the government and the private sector must share the responsibility for the development and safety of the people.
