Gaza Without Hamas, Transitional Government To Peace Council At President Trump's Proposal
JAKARTA - United States President Donald Trump on Monday announced a peace proposal for conflict in the Gaza Strip between the Palestinian militant group and Israel.
The proposal contained an immediate cessation of Israeli military operations and the withdrawal of troops, repatriation of all living and dead hostages, full access to humanitarian aid, to the existence of the Peace Council and transitional government.
President Trump's proposal requires approval from Israel and the militant group Hamas.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accepted the proposal, but Hamas official Mahmoud Mardiwi told Al Jazeera the group had not yet received President Trump's written Gaza peace plan.
