Arteta Confident Says Arsenal Can Level Up After A Dramatical Win Over Newcastle
JAKARTA - Mikel Arteta said Arsenal's dramatic win over Newcastle United proved they could move up to their next level of 2-1 win at St James' Park.
Gabriel's header from Martin Odegaard's corner in the 96th minute confirmed three points after substitute Mikel Merino equalized in the first half in the 84th minute.
This victory brought Arsenal back to second place in the Premier League standings, two points behind Liverepool.
Arteta admitted that the victory, after Liverpool's defeat in the same week, was a crucial moment for his team.

"This is an opportunity after the Premier League week that is important to show our identity and ambition," Arteta told after the match.
Victory over Newcastle United marks another important note. Arsenal struggled to win in St. James' Park since the last time they did so on May 7, 2023. After that, the Gunners always lost the next three meetings.
"The team has done it in an extraordinary way. There are moments this season. This is one of them, after a tough start at the stadium where we have had a very bad record lately."
"We show that we can play in various ways and win in certain ways. This is one of the hardest stadiums and Newcastle is a very good team."
"So, winning in the way we've done, wow, really amazing! Football is about emotions and going through various things. We had a beautiful moment at the end of the game," said the Spaniard.
