Equal To Valentino Rossi, But Marc Marquez Hasn't Been Able To Align Giacomo Agostini

JAKARTA - Ducati Lenovo racer Marc Marquez equaled the legendary racer Valentino Rossi with seven MotoGP world titles.

Marc confirmed his seventh world title after finishing second at the Motegi Circuit on Sunday.

The result was enough for The Baby Alien to seal the title because mathematically Gresini Racing racer Alex Marquez was not overtaken.

"This world champion is the result of the hard work of everyone who is behind the track... to all of them I thank you from the bottom of my heart," said Marc Marquez on the Ducati Lenovo page, Sunday.

The Baby Alien broke the title fast after winning the world last time in 2019 with Honda.

Marc then struggled more with injuries and a number of incidents that required him to get out of the race.

He missed a total of 30 races, 108 collisions, and suffered eight injuries over a period of 2,184 days before returning to world champions.

With this imperative record, this Catalan man is now in second place along with Valentino Rossi as the rider with the most world titles under the legend Giacomo Agostini who has eight world champions.
