The Minister Of State Secretary's Response To The Journalist's Press ID Which Was Revoked After The MBG Interview
JAKARTA - The revocation of the palace press identity card belonging to a journalist has been in the public spotlight lately. The incident raises questions about the reasons and basis of the decision, considering that the palace's press ID is an official access for journalists to cover the activities of the President and government activities within the State Palace.
This case happened to a journalist named Diana Valencia, whose card was revoked on Saturday, September 27. The action was carried out directly by officers from the Press, Media and Information Bureau (BPMI) of the Presidential Secretariat at the media office.
Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi when asked for a response emphasized that the current government is more focused on handling the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) and improving the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).
"The important thing is first BGN, MBG. Don't let another incident happen," he said briefly in response to a question about the press ID of the Palace journalists being revoked.

Prasetyo did not elaborate further on the process of withdrawing journalists' cards, but ensured that the government was working on completing evaluations and improving the system so that the poisoning incident in the MBG program did not happen again.
On the other hand, the Editor-in-Chief of the media, Titin Rosmasari, confirmed the revocation of the palace press identity card on behalf of Diana Valencia. He explained that the incident occurred at around 19.15 WIB, when BPMI officers went to the media office and took the press ID directly.
According to Titin, his party was surprised by this step because there was no official accompanying explanation. The media has also sent a letter to the BPMI and the Minister of State Secretary asking for clarification.
"We certainly question the reason for the revocation of the Press ID," he said in a written statement.
He emphasized that the question asked by Diana Valencia to President Prabowo regarding the MBG program was reasonable and relevant to public issues. The editor from the media is also scheduled to meet with BPMI on Monday, September 29 morning to follow up on the letter requesting clarification.
