M. Shadows Injured Voice Band, Engaged Sevenfold Forced To Postpone Latin American Tour

JAKARTA - The plan for the Avenged Sevenfold tour in Latin America has to be postponed. This is due to a band-of-noise injury experienced by their vocalist, M. Shadows.

The news about the postponement was announced directly by the metal band from the US through an official social media account.

Averaged Sevenfold was supposed to start a series of concerts in Buenos Aires, Argentina on September 25. However, after canceling the premiere, they confirmed the entire tour schedule had to be postponed.

"With a heavy heart and regret, we have to announce that due to a special condition called the vocal fold hematoma, we made an important decision to shift our tour to the beginning of next year," wrote Avenged Sevenfold, citing an upload caption, Sunday, September 28.

In the upload, they also assured fans that they would return with a much better performance. Tickets that have been purchased will still apply to the new schedule that will soon be announced.

In addition, Shadows, through a video attached to the upload, also provided an explanation of the vocal problem.

"My voice is a bit problematic. After Louder Than Life, I was a little sick and I thought I felt bad because I was sick. At that time I came to Argentina, it was possible because of the trip, schedule, and others," said the vocalist.

"Monday and Tuesday I arrived, I slept well, but it didn't feel any different. So, we postponed it to Buenos Aires. The next day, I slept well, woke up, and it felt like something was wrong," he continued.

After being examined by a doctor, he was diagnosed with a hematoma in left vocal folds. This is a similar injury he experienced in 2017.

Shadows added that he did not want to take the risk like eight years ago, where he ignored the injury and had to undergo surgery.

Therefore, he and the band decided to postpone the entire tour and reschedule it in January 2026.
