Save Teenager Falls From Jetski, 5 Members Of The Thousand Islands Police Satpolairud Awarded

JAKARTA - Five members of the Thousand Islands Police Satpolairud received an award after carrying out a rescue action in the waters of Mutiara Beach, North Jakarta.

At that time, the five members of the Thousand Islands Police Satpolairud rescued a teenager who fell and was swept away by the ocean while playing jetski.

The award was given directly by the Thousand Islands Police Chief, AKBP Arga Dija Putra at the representative Police Headquarters in the Ancol Marina area, North Jakarta.

"Five members of the Satpolairud, we give awards for the rescue of a teenager in the waters of the pearl beach," said Thousand Islands Police Chief AKBP Argadija Putra when confirmed, Sunday, September 28, 2025.

According to Arga, the award is part of the dynamics of the organization which contains its own meaning in the development of members of the National Police.

"Shares are given to personnel who have tested their quality and abilities in carrying out their duties and obligations," he said.

The award is also a manifestation of the achievements and hard work made by members so far.

" Awarding is not an absolute right that must be obtained by every member of the National Police, but a gift and appreciation for the quality of a person in carrying out the duties and responsibilities attached to these members," he said.

Previously, a teenager fell and was dragged by the ocean while playing jetski in the waters of Mutiara Beach, North Jakarta last Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Luckily, the teenager was saved by personnel from the Thousand Islands Police Polairud, who at that time were carrying out routine marine patrols.

The Thousand Islands Police Chief AKBP Argadija Putra said the victim was a tourist who was driving a Jetsky with 1 other person.

"At that time, the victim was left behind, lost control after being hit by the waves and fell into the sea, then dragged by the ocean current while trying to swim to the beach," said Argadija, Tuesday, September 16.

The rescue coincided with the implementation of the Marine Routine Patrol. Officers received information from the incident.

"Received this information, Polairud personnel immediately rescued the victim. After being evacuated, he was taken to a patrol boat, Alhamdulillah his condition was stable and could still respond when asked by the Sat Polairud personnel on duty," he said.
