Juanda Station Crowded With 18,693 Users, KAI Commuter Anticipates Density

JAKARTA Juanda Station is crowded with users who will go to activities around the Istiqlal Mosque this morning. To anticipate congestion, KAI Commuter increased the number of service and security officers by 30 personnel.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Joni Martinus said that the KRL users were going to the Istiqlal Mosque to participate in the celebration of the Prophet's Birthday.

"Since morning, users began arriving and descending at Juanda Station to go to Istiqlal. As of 08.00 WIB, 18,693 people have been recorded to have disembarked at this station," Joni said in an official statement, Sunday, September 28.

In addition to increasing the number of service and security officers by 30 personnel, KAI Commuter also regulates the flow of adjusted users following the situation and development of density in the platform area.

Furthermore, Joni said officers would apply the queue open-close system to the platform if conditions were already congested.

"This is done to maintain the safety of users on the platform while waiting for the arrival of the train," said Joni.

Meanwhile, KAI Commuter's Public Relations Manager, Leza Arlan, conveyed his advice for users to consider going up or down at alternative stations such as Sawah Besar Station.

"The location of this station is only 1.6 km from Istiqlal, so it can be an alternative if there is a density at Juanda Station," explained Leza.

KAI Commuter appealed to all users to continue to prioritize safety and security, as well as follow directions and instructions from officers at the station.

"Especially for users who bring children, make sure the children are always under surveillance while on the way," he concluded.
