List 2 Indonesian Representatives In The Final Round Of The Korea Open 2025

JAKARTA Indonesia managed to place two of its representatives in the final round of the Korea Open 2025. Both represent the men's singles and doubles sectors.

There were five Indonesian representatives who competed in the semifinals of the Korea Open 2025 which took place at Suwon Gymnasium, South Korea, on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

From the men's singles sector, the final ticket was secured by Jonatan Christie. He defeated his junior Alwi Farhan in a fierce three-game 18-21, 21-14, and 21-15 matches.

Jonathan, who is the fourth seed, will then meet Denmark's first seed Anders Antonsen, who repatriated third seed Chou Tien Chen from Chinese Taipei.

The meeting in Korea is the 12th competitive clash between the two names. Jonathan took the lead 6-5, but lost against Antonsen in their two latest clashes last year.

From the men's doubles sector, the final ticket was secured by Fajar Alfian/ Muhammad Shohibul Fikri. This pair defeated Lee Jhe-Huei/Yang Po-Hsuan from Chinese Taipei in two straight games 21-19 and 21-16.

This is Fajar/Fikri's second final in just four tournaments since playing together last July. They got another one at the 2025 China Open which ended in a title.

In the final round tomorrow Fajar/Fikri will face the host's first seed, Kim Won Ho/Seo Seung Jae, who qualified for the final after beating Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi from Japan.

Fajar/Fikri and Kim/Seo have so far shared one win each from two competitive clashes. Fajar/Fikri beat them in the 2025 China Open final, in turn Kim/Seo won in the semifinals of the 2025 China Masters.

The quarter-final match will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025, starting at 11.00 local time or 09.00 WIB. The two Indonesian representatives will play in the last two parties.
