Raducanu was born in Toronto, Canada, on November 13, 2002 and grew up in Bromley, England. He is Romanian from his father, Ion Raducanu and has Chinese blood from his mother Renee Zhai.
Despite being born outside England, Raducanu has officially represented the United Kingdom in international events as he feels close to the country thanks to his family environment that has lived there since he was two years old.
Emma Raducanu was relatively poorly known before her work at the US Open 2021. At that time she came as a qualifying player so she had to go through three preturnating matches to enter the main round.
After his debut appearance at the Grand Slam event at Wimbledon, Raducanu's journey at Flushing Meadows successfully made a surprise. Who would have thought he managed to advance to the final round and bring home the title.

In the final round of the tournament, Raducanu stopped Leylah Fernandez, which made her the first British woman to win a Grand Slam title since Virginia Wade's 1977 win at Wimbledon.
