Failed To Enter Parliament, Mardiono Cheered 'down' When Opening PPP X Congress In Ancol
JAKARTA - Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP), Muhammad Mardiono, was cheered up by the Ka'bah cadres when he was about to give a speech at the PPP X Congress which was held in the Ancol area, North Jakarta, today.
Mardiono was initially called to give a speech on stage. However, Mardiono, who had just given greetings, was greeted with cheers from the participants who sat on the back.
"Wuuuu, change, change. Go down, go down, go down," shouted a number of cadres at the X PPP Congress which was broadcast on YouTube Petitiga TV, Saturday, September 27.
Hearing the screams of the congress participants, Mardiono only threw a thin smile. Even so, there were also cadres who shouted that Mardiono would return to be the General Chair of PPP.
"Continue, continue," exclaimed the congress participants replying to the screams of the cadres who asked to go down.

As is known, in the 2024 General Election, PPP was eliminated from Senayan because it did not meet the requirements for a parliamentary threshold of 4 percent. Under Mardiono's command, PPP only received 3.87 percent of the vote or 5,878,777 in the 2024 General Election.
For information, the main agenda of the PPP X Congress in Ancol, North Jakarta, which will be held on September 27-29, 2025, has the main agenda of selecting the PPP general chairman candidate.
The mechanism for selecting the General Chairperson of PPP for the period 2025-2030 at the X PPP Congress which was opened today, began with several plenary meetings at the congress before the election.
"Then the second plenary will discuss the rules of the congress. Followed by the next plenary meeting is the accountability report of the 2020-2025 DPP management, then there will be the next plenary meeting related to the election," said Secretary General of the United Development Party (PPP) Arwani Thomafi.
The two names of figures in the gadang-gadang will run as candidates for the General Chair of PPP for the period 2025-2030, namely Plt Chairman of PPP M Mardiono.
Meanwhile, other names that emerged were former Trade Minister Agus Suparmanto. Agus is claimed to have received support from a number of DPWs and DPCs in various regions in Indonesia.
