Losses Due To House Fire In Kelapa Gading Reaches IDR 2.5 Billion

JAKARTA - The North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) estimated the loss due to the fire of three houses on Jalan Prihatin, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta City on Friday afternoon, September 26, reaching IDR 2.5 billion.

"The objects that burned were three housing units with an area of 750 square meters," said Head of Gulkarmat Gatot Sulaeman in Jakarta.

He said the fire was thought to have occurred due to an electrical short because a witness saw the roof of a burning two-story house and the residents shouted.

The owner of the house who was still in the house did not know that his house was on fire because the position of the fire started on the bathroom ceiling on the second floor.

Then residents came to the Lantamal Damkar and called the Jakut Damkar to ask for help in handling it. However, when reporting, the fire had grown and burned one house.

"There are 21 people from three families who survived this incident," he said.

Gulkarmat deployed 17 fire engines with 85 personnel working hard to extinguish the growing fire.

According to him, officers arrived at the location and started the blackout at 14:40 WIB and started the cooling action at 14.59 WIB.

"Currently, the fire has been extinguished by the North Jakarta Fire Department, assisted and assisted by the East Jakarta Fire Department and the Lantamal Fire Department," he said.
