JAKARTA Men's doubles Fajar Alfian/ Muhammad Shohibul Fikri beat the host representative Jin Yong/Na Sung-seung to reach the semifinals of the Korea Open 2025.

Fajar/Fikri, who are not seeded in this tournament, finished the match in two straight games 21-13 and 21-16 at Suwon Gymnasium on Friday, September 26, 2025, afternoon WIB.

In the second game, the representative of the host had a 3-1 lead and Fajar/Fikri responded with four consecutive points. Jin/Na had forced the same position 7-7, but after that they fell.

This is the second consecutive semifinal achieved by Fajar/Fikri. They previously also reached the same stage in the 2025 China Masters Super 750 BWF event last week.

At that time they ran aground in the round because they lost against the first seed from South Korea, Kim Won-ho/Seo Seung-jae, in a two-game straight match.

The Korea Open 2025 is Fajar/Fikri's fourth tournament since it was played together. As a result, one quarter-finals, one title, and a back-to-back for the semifinals.

The quarter-finals were won by Fajar/Fikri in their debut appearance as a couple at the Japan Open 2025. Their one title was won at the Super 1000 BWF China Open 2025.
