Surrendered To The Police, Wisman Admits Sad And Feels Lost After Killing His Wife

JAKARTA - The feeling of guilt is the reason why Wisman (55) surrendered to the police after killing his wife, S (55), at his residence on Jalan Puri Kembangan, South Kedoya, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta on Tuesday, September 23.

"The perpetrator who killed his wife, he surrendered. It means that there is an awareness that he feels guilty," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Arfan Zulkan Sipayung in Jakarta, Thursday.

To the police, Wisman admitted that he was sorry, even felt sad after slaughtering his wife by entangling her neck, to death.

"So cooperatively he surrendered himself and there was also regret. There was sadness in losing his wife," said Arfan.

The police have not been able to confirm the case, including premeditated murder because it started with a household fight.

"Maybe it's because when there is a fuss (emotion). The name is household, there must be a difference in understanding, maybe from a moment of emotion," said Arfan.

Kebon Jeruk Police Chief, Kompol Nur Aqsha Ferdianto said that the perpetrator and victim who had been married for 29 years were known to have been in a less harmonious relationship lately.

"The victim left the perpetrator, arguing that her husband did not fulfill his life needs," said Nur Aqsha when confirmed in Jakarta, Wednesday, September 24.

The fight between the two peaked when the victim was about to go to Kendal, Central Java.

The victim's desire made the perpetrator feel afraid to lose his wife, so the perpetrator shared his anxiety with his neighbors.

"In an emotional condition, the perpetrator ensnared the victim's neck with a bag rope to death," said Aqsha.

After the incident, the perpetrator locked the house and went to the Kembangan Police to surrender. However, because the murder took place in Kebon Jeruk, the handling of the perpetrators was handed over to the Kebon Jeruk Police.

After the perpetrator turned himself in, the police immediately went to the location and found the victim was dead in the living room.

"A number of evidences, including the victim's clothes and bag straps used to kill the victim, have been secured," Aqsha added.
