Bulog Salurkan More Than 52,400 Tons Of Corn For 2,109 Farmers
JAKARTA - Perum Bulog will distribute 52,400 tons of feed corn for 2,109 independent laying hens at a price of IDR 5,500 per kilogram (kg) at the farmer level.
The assignment was based on a letter from the Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Number 262/TS.02.02/K/9/2025 dated September 23, 2025.
The distribution is carried out through the Corn Supply Stabilization and Food Price (SPHP) program. Through this program, the government wants to stabilize supply while reducing feed corn prices at the farmer level which will then affect egg and chicken prices.
Head of Badanas, Arief Prasetyo Adi said that this program is a follow-up to the direct direction of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto which emphasizes the importance of maintaining farmers' prices while protecting farmers.
"The government is here with the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Finance, Badanas, and Bulog to ensure prices remain stable. Corn is ready stock and ready to be distributed, with a budget of IDR 78 billion from Badanas. Independent farmers and people's breeders are the top priority until the end of the year," he said in an official statement, Friday, September 26.
The distribution of Corn SPHP uses the Government Corn Reserve Stock (CJP) managed by BULOG. The 2025 Corn SPHP targets 2,109 independent breeders consisting of 192 micro farmers, and 1,693 small breeders.
Also, 224 medium-sized breeders spread across 16 provinces, namely North Sumatra, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Jambi, Lampung, Banten, DI Yogyakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Bali, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, NTB, North Sulawesi and South Sulawesi.
"Recipients of the 2025 Corn SPHP program have gone through joint verification between Badanas and the Directorate General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health and the Directorate General of Food Crops at the Ministry of Agriculture and Perum Bulog," he said.
President Director of Perum Bulog, Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani said that his party is ready to fully carry out the government's mandate.
"We are ready to carry out the distribution of the 2025 Corn SPHP through cooperatives and established associations, with a corn stock of 71,000 tons that we have. We are committed to ensuring that this program runs on target, is orderly in administration, and provides tangible benefits for farmers and farmers," said Rizal.
For your information, this Rp5,500 per kg price policy is designed with a scheme that benefits both parties. Farmers still receive a good price (higher than the previous price of Rp3,150 to Rp4,500), while farmers can earn corn at affordable prices because distribution and processing costs are borne by the government.

Through this scheme, the government together with Bulog closed the distribution chain with the concept of closed loops' of farmers selling yields at good prices, Bulog as offtaker of maintaining supply, farmers receiving feed at affordable prices, and consumers enjoying food at reasonable prices.
With the availability of the CJP managed by BULOG of around 71,000 tons, of which 52,400 tons were released for this year's SPHP, the Government is optimistic that the stabilization of feed prices will be achieved, farmer productivity will increase, and the community will receive direct benefits in the form of egg availability and quality chicken meat at affordable prices.
The launch of the 2025 Corn SPHP program was marked by the submission of an assignment letter and technical instructions for the Corn SPHP from Badanas to Bulog, which was also attended by representatives of cooperatives and poultry farmer associations at the Bapanas Office on September 24.
