Vietnam Goes Crazy, COVID-19 Daily Cases Hit Record Again

JAKARTA - Daily cases of locally transmitted Vietnamese COVID-19 rose by 187 on Sunday, May 16, or the second record this week as many communities and districts across the region implemented COVID-19 lockdowns.

The majority of those affected were quarantined before being declared positive for coronavirus, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

Vietnam reported a total of 4,175 cases, with 36 COVID-19 deaths, which is mostly from a strong controlling record.
