JCI Friday Has A Chance To Weaken Due To Profit Taking Action, These Five Stocks Are Recommended
JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) is projected to continue corrections in today's trading, Friday, September 26, Phintraco Sekuritas in its research estimates that the index will move in the resistance range 8,100, pivot 8,070, and support 7,980.
Phintraco Sekuritas explained that the JCI closed lower at the level of 8,040.67 (1.06 percent) in trading last Thursday. Shares of the basic material sector experienced the largest weakness, while noncyclical sector stocks posted the largest strengthening.
"The profit-taking action and the continued weakening of the rupiah are negative sentiment. The uncertainty in the subsequent decline in the Fed interest rate will add to the negative factor," wrote Phintraco Sekuritas.
Meanwhile, Phintraco Sekuritas said, OECD raised Indonesia's economic growth projection to reach 4.9 percent in 2025 and 2026 from the previous projections of 4.7 percent YoY and 4.8 percent YoY, respectively.
Meanwhile, inflation is projected to increase from 1.9 percent YoY in 2025 to 2.7 percent YoY in 2026, which is due to rupiah depreciation.
From the United States (US), investors will look forward to the PCE Price index in August 2025 which is expected to rise to 0.3% MoM from 0.2% in July 2025. While on an annual basis it is estimated to increase to 2.7 percent YoY from 2.6 percent YoY in July 2025.
The Core PCE Price index in August is estimated to fall to 0.2 percent MoM from 0.3 percent MoM, and is stable at the level of 2.9 percent YoY," said Phintraco Sekuritas.

Technically, Phintraco Sekuritas said, the Stochastic RSI indicator formed a death cross in the overbought area and the positive histogram MACD began to weaken accompanied by a more dominant selling volume. JCI also penetrated the level below MA5 at around 8,074.
"Thus, the JCI is predicted to continue testing the support level at 7,980-8,000 today," added Phintraco Sekuritas.
