The Lexus Case Strikes After The Contents Of Pertamax, Here's Pertamina's Explanation

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga opened its voice regarding complaints from Lexus cars that experienced technical problems after refueling at gas stations 34,14413 Benyamin Sueb, North Jakarta.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun said the complaint had been resolved properly through a meeting between Pertamina Patra Niaga representatives, vehicle owners, and official workshops to ensure thorough handling.

"Pertamina Patra Niaga immediately checked the quality of fuel products at related gas stations, and ensured that the quality of available products was in accordance with applicable standards and specifications," Robert said in a statement to the media, Thursday, September 25.

Robert said, from the results of technical checks, it was known that vehicles with the Lexus type had machine specifications that required special treatment, including the use of fuel with certain octane standards according to manufacturers' recommendations for at least 95 fuel octane and above.

"Vehicles with modern and high-compression engine technology generally require high-quality fuel such as Pertamax Turbo with an octane number of 98 so that performance is maintained optimally, engine combustion is safe, and avoid potential performance constraints," explained Robert.

On this occasion, continued Robert, Pertamina Patra Niaga together with the workshop also shared direct education with vehicle owners about the importance of choosing fuel according to engine needs.

"This education aims to make consumers better understand that fuel selection plays an important role in maintaining vehicle performance, as well as providing options for each vehicle owner to use fuel that best suits the specifications of his car," explained Robert.

Robert also emphasized that his party would ensure that every issue or report from the public was handled quickly and thoroughly.
