KPK Plans To Issue General Sprindik Investigate Allegations Of Corruption In PMT Toddlers And Pregnant Women At The Ministry Of Health
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the investigation into the alleged corruption in the procurement of additional food (PMT) for toddlers and pregnant women at the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) for the 2016-2020 period would soon be completed.
Acting (Plt) Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu said current investigators are still finalizing it. One of them is by checking whether other law enforcement officers are investigating similar allegations of corruption so as not to overlap.
"That investigation is almost complete. So we just have to wait for the progress, yes. Because we will also check the last whether this case is reported elsewhere or not," Asep told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, September 25.
Asep said that if the check was done, an investigation warrant (sprindik) would be issued.
"The plan is general Sprindik. The plan," he said.
The generalized sprindik means that the KPK has not officially named a suspect in this case. However, examination of witnesses and related parties and forced attempts such as searches and confiscation can be carried out.
Asep explained that this method is now being used by the KPK to avoid lawsuits from related parties. "So in some cases we are being sued for pretrial," he said.
One of them is because we have not examined the suspects. Well, that's why we use public sprindik at the same time to deepen from each of their respective actions," continued Asep, who also serves as Director of KPK Investigations.
Previously reported, the KPK confirmed that it was investigating allegations of corruption related to the procurement of additional food (PMT) for toddlers and pregnant women. The process is said to be carried out by the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes).
Based on information collected, the investigation was carried out in early 2024. This alleged corruption was allegedly rolled out in 2016-2020.
The PMT program for toddlers and pregnant women is an effort to improve their nutritional status so as to reduce stunting or tengkes. The form is in the form of biscuits, milk, eggs, and other nutritious foods.
Regarding this investigation, the Ministry of Health said it would respect the ongoing legal process. Head of the Communication and Public Service Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Aji Muharwan, emphasized that the alleged corruption was not in the era of the Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin.
