Indonesia Goes Pink 2025, Invites People To Be Alert And Early Detection Of Breast Cancer

JAKARTA - Breast cancer still haunts the health of the Indonesian people, including women. This disease is the highest cause of death from cancer in women in Indonesia.

To deal with the disease, public awareness for early detection of breast cancer is needed. As in commemorating October as the month of Breast Cancer Awareness, Lovepink presents the 2025 Indonesia Goes Pink (IGP) national campaign, with the theme Living in Abundance, Running Together, Inspiring Hope.

The campaign aims to spread messages about the importance of early detection and a healthy lifestyle, as well as to build communities that support each other for fighters and survivors and the lua community.

IGP 2025 combines activities ranging from sports, health education, to artistic creative activities. These activities are trying to touch levels of society, including young people, to be more concerned about breast health.

Every year we see more and more people being moved to participate in Indonesia Goes Pink. This proves the message regarding the importance of early detection and a healthy lifestyle that is increasingly understood by the public," Chairwoman Lovepink, Dede Gracia, during a press conference in Jakarta, on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

At this year's event, the IGP was held in several Indonesian cities. Starting in Bandung on October 12, then in Jakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Jember on October 19, to Pekanbaru, Palembang, and Yogyakarta on October 26, 2025.

"We hope that through the IGP series in various cities, more and more parties are inspired to take part, either by conducting routine checks, various information with those closest to them, or supporting free breast ultrasound examination programs," he added.

In addition to activities in various regions, this year Lovepink also has a special program titled Pink Sorie: Tribute to Lovepink, which combines fashion intimacy, musical harmony, and a spirit of concern in a warm and meaningful experience.

The event will be held with the presence of two inspirational figures, namely Ivan Gunawan and Harvey Malaihiolo. They present their best work and performance to support the mission of awareness and early detection of breast cancer.
