2025 Youth And Junior Sambo World Championships Followed By 31 Countries
JAKARTA A total of 31 countries will certainly participate in the 2025 Youth Sambo World Championships (World Sambo Youth & Junior Championships 2025) in Indonesia.
The Central Executive of the Sambo Indonesia Martial Arts Association (PP Persambi) confirmed that these countries had been present at the event held at JSI Resort, Megamendung, Bogor, West Java, on October 3-5, 2025.
Deputy Secretary of PP Persambi, Deddy Afriadi, in an official statement received ensured that the total single event would be attended by 328 athletes. In addition, 120 officials will also attend.
"This number is more than the previous year's championship even though the categories competed were reduced, from the previous three categories now there are only two categories," said Deddy.

The countries that are confirmed to be present are Greece, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Armenia, Australia, Ajerbaijan, Bulgaria, Croatia, Russia, FIAS II, France, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Mongolia, Morocco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, South Korea, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Singapore, Spain, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Indonesia.
Deddy said that currently the readiness of the venue and committee was 98 percent at the time of the event, just counting the days. Furthermore, on September 30, 2025, preparations have entered the technical delegate.
"This concerns the good name of the nation and maintains the trust of the International Sambo Federation (FIAS) which appointed Indonesia for the first time as the host."
"So, we are PP Persambi to do our best to become the best host we can," said Deddy.
He also ensured that all aspects ranging from venues, accommodation, transportation, security, match systems, to consumption had been prepared according to international standards.
"We will provide new experiences for athletes and invited guests. This also shows that Indonesia deserves to host a prestigious sporting event involving many countries," he said.
Indonesia will field its 33 best athletes. They will take part in all classes, except for 98 kg combat, 72 kg women's junior, and +80 kg women because there are no athletes.
