Husband Snares Wife's Neck To Death In Kebon Jeruk: Victims Live With Husband Because Of Economic Factors

JAKARTA - WN (55), the husband who had the heart to kill his wife S (49) in his house on Jalan Puri Kembangan, Gang Pandan, RT 011/005, South Kedoya, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, has been married for 29 years.

The victim is the legal wife of a citizen. From this marriage, the couple was blessed with two children.

However, for 29 years of marriage, lately the couple's relationship has not been harmonious. Then there are frequent household quarrels.

The Head of the Kebon Jeruk Police, West Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Nur Aqsha Ferdianto, said the victim had left the perpetrator on the grounds that her husband's needs were not met.

Then the fight peaked when the victim was about to go to Kendal, Central Java. This effort actually made the perpetrators afraid to lose or leave his wife.

In an emotional condition, the perpetrator ensnared the victim's neck with a bag rope so that he did not die.

"The results of the interim investigation show that the victim died as a result of being killed by her own husband," said Commissioner Nur Aqsha when confirmed, Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Even after the incident, the perpetrator immediately locked his house and went to the Sector Police to surrender.

When the police arrived at the scene, the police found the victim was already dead in the living room.

A number of pieces of evidence, including the victim's clothes and the bag rope used to kill the victim, have been secured.

"The perpetrator was charged with Article 338 of the Criminal Code regarding murder," he said.
