Introducing The 15T Xiaomi Series: Almost Identical Outside, Very Different Inside

JAKARTA - Xiaomi has just launched Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro in Munich, two elegant flagships that look almost identical but different on the inside. Both phones display 6.83 inches of AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 5,500mAh battery, IP68 water resistance, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and 12GB LPDDR5X RAM.

However, 15T is powered by Dimensity 8400-Ultra, offers up to 512GB of storage, and supports 67W cable charging. The stronger 15T Pro carries the Dimensity 9400+ chipset, up to 1TB of storage, and supports 90W + 50W wireless cable charging.

Camera settings are also different. 15T has a 50MP + ultrawide 50MP + telephoto 50MP main camera, while the 15T Pro is upgraded to the 50MP 900 Light Fusion + ultrawide 12MP + super telephoto 5x 50MP main sensor.

Xiaomi has just announced two new smartphones, the Xiaomi 15T series. The devices in question are the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro. They were announced during an event in Munich.

You need to have sharp eyes to find design differences here, as both phones are nearly identical. There is a difference on the back, precisely on the part of the camera island. The Xiaomi 15T has an LED flash that belongs to one of the circles on the back, while the Xiaomi 15T Pro doesn't. The Pro phone actually includes some additional sensors inside that fourth circle.

In addition, both phones look the same. Both have frames made of aluminum, which are flat but curved at the edge. Flat screens with a selfie camera hole in the middle and a thin and uniform bezel are used on both phones.

All physical buttons are on the right, and have the same layout on both phones. On the back, you will see the camera island in the upper left corner. Both phones include three cameras there, but with different units.

In terms of specifications, these two smartphones do have some things in common. They have identical screens, for example. Both offer 6.83-inch AMOLED screens. The screen offers 120Hz refresh rate, 3,200 nit peak brightness, and 2772 x 1280 pixel resolution. 3,840Hz dimming PWM is also included, as is the screen protection for Gorilla Glass 7i.

Both phones also have the same battery. You will find a 5.500mAh unit inside both. The charging is different, we will discuss it soon. There are also two stereo speakers on both phones, with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res audio.

Both phones include the Xiaomi 3D IceLoop and 12GB LPDDR5X RAM cooling system. Both are also equipped with an unextended UFS 4.1 flash memory. Bluetooth 6.0 is on both phones, as is the IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. That's the similarity of the two.
