Xiaomi 15T Pro Officially Launches With 5x Leica Telephoto Camera, Dimensity 9400+, And Fast Charging 90W

JAKARTA Xiaomi officially introduced the Xiaomi 15T Pro at a global launch event in Munich, Germany, on Tuesday, September 24. This smartphone is a new mainstay of the T-series line with a focus on camera technology from collaboration with Leica, hardware performance. Fast, as well as the latest connectivity. This device runs with Xiaomi's latest operating system, HyperOS 3.

The Xiaomi 15T Pro comes with a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with a 1.5K (2772 x 1280 pixel resolution) resolution, peak brightness levels of up to 3,200 nits, and a refresh rate of 144Hz. A 1.5mm thin bezel thanks to LIPO technology makes it look more immersive. The screen also features TryptoV Rheinland certification for low blue, anti-flicker, and sirkadian-friendly emission.

The body is 162.7 x 77.9 x 7.96 mm in dimensions with a weight of 210 grams. Wrapped in Corning Gorilla Glass 7i glass and a frame made from aluminum alloy 6M13, this device also pocketed IP68 certification which was waterproof up to a depth of 3 meters.

Leica Camera System

For the first time in the T series, Xiaomi carries a 5x Pro Leica telephoto camera. The three camera system covers a focal range of 15mm to 230mm, allowing users to image the wide landscape or zoom details in one device. The configuration consists of a 50MP Leica Summilux (1.62) main camera with a Light Fusion 900 sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera (3.0, OIS), and a 12MP ultra-wide camera (2.2, 120$ angle).

The zoom feature includes 5x optical zoom, 10x lossless zoom, up to 20x ultra-zoom with software optimization. The 32MP resolution front camera with a 90deg point of view is available for selfies and video calls.

Xiaomi embeds AISP 2.0 with PortraitLM 2.0 and ColorLM 2.0 to increase color, depth, and contrast. There is also a Master Portrait Mode with customizable bokeh effects, as well as a Leica Street Photography Mode for quick shots from lock screen with a focus preset of 28mm to 135mm.

For video recording, Xiaomi 15T Pro supports HDR10+ 4K 30fps in all lenses, 4K 120fps slow motion, 4K 60fps 10-bit Log with LUT support, up to 8K 30fps recording.

Performance and Battery

This smartphone is powered by a 3nm fabrication based MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset with CPU speeds of up to 3.73GHz and an Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU. The 12GB RAM capacity is combined with internal UFS 4.1 storage with a capacity of 256GB, 512GB, up to 1TB.

The battery has a capacity of 5,500mAh with 90W Wired charging and 50W wireless HyperCharge support. Xiaomi claims the device can turn on in just 4 seconds after connecting to the charger. The 3D IceLoop cooling system is here to keep the temperature stable.

Connectivity and Software

The Xiaomi 15T Pro supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 dual connection, NFC, as well as dual SIM with eSIM support. Another interesting feature is Xiaomi Astrical Communication with Offline Communication, which allows for voice calls between Xiaomi 15T Pro devices within 1.9 km without cellular or Wi-Fi networks.

This device runs HyperOS 3 with a new interface display, faster multitasking, and an AI feature that is upgraded through HyperAI. Integration with the Xiaomi ecosystem is also strengthened.
