L/ Brings Pieces of Her Personal Journey on Debut EP Bloodline
JAKARTA - Lara Silvy, with her innovative project, L/, introduces her debut extended play (EP), "Bloodline." This album is a follow-up to the single released last year.
The EP was in the works since January 2025, with the help of two talented young producers, Ican Pane and Azel Dinangga. This marks their third collaboration, having previously worked together on the singles "Fade Away" and "Eternally Shine."
"Bloodline" marks a pivotal point in L/'s musical journey—featuring four new songs with a dreamy feel, subtle electronic touches, and emotional personal stories.
Inspired by the atmosphere of Clairo's songs, Lali Puna's musical experimentation, and her own distinctive style, L/ creates work that feels both intimate and universal.
"This EP truly represents the essence of who I am now," said Lara Silvy in a statement on Wednesday, September 24.
Previously, L/ had captivated listeners with her honest and unique singles. Three of them even made it onto Spotify's main editorial playlist, bringing their music to a wider audience in Indonesia and strengthening their position in the local indie scene.
"Each song on Bloodline conveys a piece of a personal journey—about vulnerability, strength, and the search for connection in your 30s," she continued. "It's very personal. But I hope it can also connect with anyone who's going through their own story."
The four songs on the EP explore themes of self-discovery, relationships, and identity. The arrangements are warm and balanced between intimacy and reflection.
"Bloodline" serves as a comprehensive introduction to L/'s work, as well as a gateway to her future musical development.
