State High School Students In Tanjung Priok Poisoned After Eating MBG

JAKARTA - A number of students from SMAN 15 Sunter, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, have returned to free nutritious food poisoning (MBG).

Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Nanik S Deyang, confirmed the incident.

According to him, the incident occurred at around 11.00 WIB when the seven students received MBG with the chicken suwir noodle menu.

When the incident occurred, SMAN 15 received 641 MBG portions from the Kitchen of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in the Sunter area.

Nanik said, that day, the SPPG prepared 3,499 MBG menus for several schools.

However, after two hours when seven students of SMAN 15 ate MBG, they complained of nausea.

"At 11.00 WIB the food was eaten, after two hours the SPPG was given the news that someone was sick with nausea but no one threw up, he said there were three people," he said.

The SPPG immediately went to school and checked UKS, but there was only one student, while the other two had returned home.

Before long, the SPPG received another news that four students were also admitted to the hospital after eating the MBG.

However, when they were visited by the hospital, the four students were not there, because they had returned home.

"So there are seven people," said Nanik, Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

The seven students, he continued, were not treated and are now back to health and undergoing activities at school as usual.

Nanik pun belum dapat memastikan apakah musila yang dialami para siswa disebabkan karena MBG atau tidak.

"It can't be ascertained yet because it is still eaten by others," he said.
