Arrested For Not Cooperative, Entrepreneur Menas Erwin Uses Flip-flops When Arriving At The KPK Office

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested the President Director of PT Wahana Adyarma, Menas Erwin Djohansyah, at his family's home today. The suspect in the bribery case in the Supreme Court (MA) is already in the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

From observations in the field, the Minister of Rice arrived at around 20.42 WIB at the KPK office. He appears to be wearing a blue jacket and flip-flops.

When he arrived, the Minister of Rice who was brought in a black-streamed Toyota Innova had time to get back into the car. He turned out to take flip-flops and put them on.

The Minister of Rice also covered his face with a mask. He also entered the building incorrectly through the door of the public complaint section until the officers pulled him out.

This entrepreneur then gave a thumbs up before climbing to the floor of the examination room.

Menas was arrested at the family home. This information was conveyed by his lawyer, Elfano Eneilmy, who admitted that he had not been informed in detail.

"In detail, I have not received definite information. Earlier, his information was secured at his family's house," Elfano said when confirmed.

The Minister of Rice was arrested for not being cooperative in fulfilling the investigator's summons. He was known to have been summoned on Monday, July 28 but was not present.

Then, investigators rescheduled the recall on Tuesday, August 12 but the entrepreneur again did not show his nose at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Menas Erwin is known to have been investigated several times in this case. He has also been named a suspect along with former Supreme Court Secretary Hasbi Hasan.

In addition, the KPK has also developed a bribery case for case management in the Supreme Court under the suspicion of money laundering (TPPU). Although it has not been detailed, the information is that there are three suspects, namely Hasbi Hasan, singer Windy Idol, and Rinaldo Septariando B as entrepreneur who is also Windy's older brother.

As previously reported, Hasbi was sentenced to 6 years in prison in this case by the Jakarta Corruption Court and had to pay a fine of Rp. 1 billion and a replacement money of Rp. 3,880,844,400 subsidiary of one year in prison. He was proven to have accepted bribes related to the handling of the Intidana Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP) case in the Supreme Court together with former Independent Commissioner Wijaya Karya (Wika) Dadan Tri Yudianto.

In this case, Dadan Tri Yudianto's sentence was increased by PT DKI Jakarta to nine years in prison from the previous five years. He was required to pay a fine of Rp. 1 billion and a replacement money of Rp. 7.95 billion, subsidiary to three years in prison.
