The Minister Of Public Works Leaked About The New SPM Rules For Toll Roads, Here's The Contents
JAKARTA - The government is currently drafting new regulations related to toll road minimum service standards (SPM).
The regulation is in the form of a Regulation of the Minister of Public Works (Permen PU) which is a derivative of Government Regulation (PP) Number 23 of 2024.
PU Minister Dody Hanggodo said that currently the evaluation of toll road SPM is still using the Minister of PUPR Regulation Number 16 of 2024.
Meanwhile, with PP No.23/2024, there is No. 23 of 2024, there is a mandate to issue derivative regulations related to toll road SPM and administrative sanctions if not fulfilled by toll road business entities (BUJT).
For this reason, Dody said, his party is currently drafting a Minister of Public Works Regulation on toll road SPM.
"This is targeted that no later than December 2025 it can be completed and we can activate it to measure SPM (toll road)," said Dody at a Working Committee Meeting with Commission V DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 24.
Dody explained that the contents of the latest draft derivative regulations will change compared to the previous level of regulations.
One of the proposed indicators and sub-indicators, namely the toll road conditions indicator. With an inequality sub-indicator (IRI) and the frequency of toll road SPM checking.
"The frequency of evaluation from the beginning is only once a year, we will propose it four times a year to ensure that the quality of the toll road is as expected by the community," explained Dody.
