Jessica Chastain's New Series, The Savant Canceled 3 Days Before Release

JAKARTA - Apple TV+ has decided to postpone the release of the latest thriller series, The Savant, played by Jessica Chastain. The series is scheduled to be released on September 26 before being withdrawn from the platform.

Through an official statement, Apple TV only explained, "After careful consideration, we made the decision to postpone The Savant."

"We appreciate your understanding and look forward to the release date of the series," he said.

The streaming party did not explain the reason for the cancellation, but not a few suspected that this cancellation was related to Charlie Kirk's death.

Charlie Kirk, a pro-Trump activist, died after being shot by a mysterious man while in Utah Valley University.

The Savant series tells the story of an investigator who finds out a hate group to stop extremists before they take action. The series is inspired by the incident of Savant looking for angry men on the internet.

The trailer that has been released shows Savant's character who is looking for the hate group that has the potential to develop into bombings, shootings, and other acts of violence.

In an interview, Jessica Chastain admitted that she didn't like it because The Savant series is still relevant to the current political conditions of the United States.

"I hate it. I hate there are so many acts of violence, but maybe through this conversation and the darkness that has been revealed in this world, we can work together to fix it," said Jessica Chastain.
