KPK Asks State Administrators Not Only Formalities To Report Wealth

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded state officials not only to formality in reporting reports of assets of state administrators (LHKPN).

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo when asked about the report on the assets of state administrators (LHKPN) owned by Wahyudin Moridu. The member of the Gorontalo Provincial DPRD was highlighted because of the statement that he wanted to 'robber people's money'.

"Do not let a state administrator only report in a formality. Do not pay attention to the completeness and truth of what is conveyed through his LHKPN," Budi told reporters quoted on Tuesday, October 23.

Budi said LHKPN is an important instrument in preventing corruption. The openness of state administrators to their assets is a form of transparency towards the public.

"This is important because the essence of LHKPN as an instrument for preventing corruption is how a public official or state administrator is open, transparent towards his assets," he said.

"So that people can see and access it openly," continued Budi.

Meanwhile, regarding the LHKPN Wahyudin Moridu whose assets are minus, the KPK will check. "Is it in accordance with the facts on the ground, with what is reported," he said.

"So if we look at the report there are indeed minuses and if we see that no means of transportation have also been reported, well, of course this is also our concern to check," concluded Budi.
