Residents of RT 010/RW 01, North Cipete Village, Kebayoran Baru District, South Jakarta, were shocked by the discovery of a baby girl in a water channel on Monday, September 22, at 05.30 WIB.

In the video footage that went viral on social media, a dramatic action can be seen by residents who are quick to lift a baby wrapped in a blue plastic bag. Residents then rushed to take the baby to the Kebayoran Baru Regional General Hospital (RSUD) for medical treatment.

"We have secured the perpetrator of the dumping of the baby, which is his own mother," said Head of the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA) of the South Jakarta Police Satreskrim, AKP Citra Ayu Civilia, Tuesday, September 23.

Citra explained that despite his status as a perpetrator, currently TS is still undergoing post-born health recovery.
