Ukraine Attacks Russian Oil Facilities In Bryansk And Samara
JAKARTA - The Ukrainian military attacked two Russian oil distribution facilities in the Bryansk and Samara regions.
In Samara, the military attacked a line production station mixing Russian oil for Ural's flagship oil class for export, Kyib's general staff said on Telegram.
The pump station, which is used for Russia's oil pipeline system in the Samara region, supplies the port of the Black Sea Novorossiisk and also receives a shipment of Kazakhstan's transit oil to Russia's port and the Druzhba pipeline to Germany.
In Bryansk, the Ukrainian attack hit a pipeline production station that was important to Russia's military supply, the military said.
The station is part of Russia's main oil product storage in Naytopovichi settlements, which have been attacked several times this year.
"The level of damage is being determined," the military continued.
It is unclear whether recent attacks had a direct impact on Russian oil exports.
One source familiar with the matter said oil supplies from Samara's pump station continued, but were at a slower pace.
Transneft, Russia's oil pipeline monopoly company warned manufacturers earlier this month it may have to cut production following Ukraine's drone strike against export ports and key refineries.
Black Sea Port Novorossiisk is expected to load the largest volume of oil in recent months during September.
Ukraine in recent weeks has updated its long-range drone strike campaign against Russian oil production sites, systematically targeting key facilities to try to reduce Moscow's export revenue and frontline supply.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said via Telegram its units destroyed Ukrainian drones in Bryansk and Samara.
Kyiv forces also attacked military airfields in Russia's occupied Crimea, Ukraine's general staff said, adding two planes were hit by an attack.
