Nadiem Makarim's Pretrial Trial Held October 3
JAKARTA - Former Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Mendikbudristek) Nadiem Makarim filed a pretrial lawsuit at the South Jakarta District Court. The inaugural trial will be held on October 3, 2025.
It is known that Nadiem Makarim's pretrial lawsuit was filed in connection with his appointment as a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of a Chromebook laptop at the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2019-2022.
"The first trial is scheduled for October 3, 2025," said Public Relations of the South Jakarta District Court, Rio Barten to VOI, Tuesday, September 23.
The inaugural trial of Nadiem Makarim's pretrial lawsuit is scheduled to take place at 13.00 WIB.
The pretrial lawsuit was filed today. Nadiem's attorney, Hana Pertiwi, said the lawsuit was filed because Nadiem was named a suspect by the Attorney General's Office (AGO) was considered invalid.
This is because there is not sufficient preliminary evidence, one of which is evidence of auditing state losses from authorized agencies.
"The authorized agency (to audit) is the BPK (Financial Audit Agency) or BPKP (Financial and Development Supervisory Agency), and the detention is also automatic, if the determination of the suspect is invalid, the detention is also invalid," he said.
It is known that the AGO named Nadiem Makarim as a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of Chromebook laptops at the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2019-2022 on September 5, 2025.
