Transjakarta Will Test Pramudi Psychology After 3 Bus Accidents This Month
JAKARTA - President Director of PT Transjakarta Welfizon Yuza revealed that his party will carry out a more in-depth psychological assessment for all drivers or bus drivers, in the aftermath of three accidents this month.
Welfizon said the psychological tests that would be carried out after discussing with the National Transportation Safety Committee (NTSC) to evaluate the Transjakarta services that had an accident.
This was revealed by Welfizon in a meeting with Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD to explain the details of the Transjakarta bus accident and its handling.
"Yang kemarin pada saat bicara dengan KNKT perlu dibuat yang lebih advance, sehingga aspek psikologis sebelum naik kendaraan itu juga bisa dilakukan assessment dengan baik," kata Welfizon di gedung DPRD DKI Jakarta, Selasa, 23 September.
From the results of discussions with the NTSC, Transjakarta needs to formulate standardization of the driver safety module which not only involves technicalities, but also mental aspects to more than 11 thousand Transjakarta drivers.
Because, based on the results of the examination, two of the three Transjakarta accidents that hit buildings and vehicles this month were caused by human error and psychological condition of the driver.
"The conditions that occurred in the last two accidents, where when the driver was faced with a critical condition and it caused panic. So one of the decisions processes that must be strengthened, so that when faced with critical conditions, it can still be calmer," said Welfizon.
"We are targeting that in the next three months we will have one reference for Transjakarta drivers, both in terms of soft skills, technical skills, and psychology, which have good references," he continued.
For information, on Saturday, September 6, Transjakarta hit a shop on Jalan Raya Minangkabau, Setiabudi, South Jakarta. The incident resulted in a shopkeeper being injured.
After that, on Thursday, September 18, a Transjakarta bus was collided with a yellow truck in front of the Tarakan Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Cideng Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta.
Then on Friday, September 19, a Transjakarta bus crashed into a kiosk, house, and vehicle belonging to a resident on Jalan Raya Cakung Station, Pulogebang Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta.
As a result, 7 people were injured and taken to the hospital. Now, they have returned home. It was recorded that 3 units of vehicles and 4 buildings were damaged as a result of being hit by the bus.
