Manokwari Regent Reported Regarding Alleged Project Corruption, KPK Will Follow Up

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it would follow up on reports of alleged corruption by the Manokwari Regent Hermus Indou submitted by the United Youth and Student Movement Alliance (Agpemaru) today.

Agpemaru reported Hermus related to two alleged corruption, namely the construction of the Manokwari Women's Building at the PUPR Office of Manokwari Regency 2022-2024 and the work on handling long segments or routine maintenance, periodic maintenance, improvement/reconstruction on Jalan Perkebunan 3 Macuan in the 2024 fiscal year.

"We make sure that every complaint report received by the KPK will then be verified for the validity of the information and information submitted by the reporter," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in his statement, Tuesday, September 23.

After being verified, Budi said, reviews and analysis will be carried out.

"To see the substance of the material, whether it is included in the alleged corruption crime and is under the authority of the KPK or not," he said.

Appemaru Coordinator, Putra said the construction of the first phase of the Women's Building was carried out by CV Pigudino with a contract value of Rp. 8.8 billion in the 2022 Fiscal Year. Meanwhile, the development supervision carried out by the CV Amazing Papua Consultant with a HPS value of Rp. 199 million.

Then development continued in the 2023 fiscal year with a budget ceiling of Rp. 10 billion and technical supervision of the construction of Rp. 250 million. Next in the 2024 fiscal year, said Putra, building construction has a budget ceiling of Rp. 140 million and development supervision of Rp. 199 million.

However, Putra said that in reporting LKPP evaluation and monitoring, the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) did not report activities in the 2023 and 2024 fiscal years. This then led to allegations of malicious conspiracy and project arrangements and state financial losses.

In fact, the construction of the building has not yet been completed. So, what we see is that it is still only physical, it has been done, we suspect that 100 percent payment has been made. There he was able to make payments, but the construction has not been completed. So there, that's the first one," said Putra after reporting to the KPK.

As for the second alleged corruption, Putra explained that it was related to the work of handling long segments or routine maintenance, periodic maintenance, improvement/reconstruction on Jalan Perkebunan 3 Macuan in the 2024 fiscal year.

"That in the 2024 fiscal year the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office of Manokwari Regency will hold routine maintenance packages, periodic maintenance, improvement or reconstruction on the 3 Macuan plantation road in the 2024 fiscal year which will be carried out by CV Cahaya Hazanah Abadi," he said.

Putra said the package was budgeted with a ceiling of Rp. 5.4 billion which was taken from the 2024 Special Allocation Fund (DAK). However, there was a realization of the work realized with a contract value of Rp. 53 billion.

It is suspected that there was a mark inflated in the disbursement document at the PUPR of Manokwari Regency amounting to Rp48 billion. This process was called on the orders of the Manokwari Regent.
