Police Secure 15-Year-Old Teenager Brings Pietro Beretta Airsoftgun In Cilincing

The Cilincing Police Criminal Investigation Unit named a teenager with the initials MD (15) as a suspect because he was caught storing Pietro Beretta type airsoftgun, a replica of a firearm on Jalan Raya Cilincing, Kalibaru, Cilincing, North Jakarta.

"One suspected perpetrator with the initials MD was arrested for carrying an airsoftgun. The perpetrator was unemployed and did not go to school," said Cilincing Police Chief AKP Bobi Subasri to reporters, Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

The arrest of the perpetrator began with a patrol of Enhanced Routine Activities (KRYD) at a number of points prone to brawls in the Cilincing area.

"When the KRYD team, the Cilincing Police carried out patrol activities around the interior purifier, Kalibaru, suspected that one of the motorbikes was riding three," he said.

After the three children were stopped, the police found an airsoftgun carried by one of the children.

"He brought a Pietro Baretta type airsoftgun. The perpetrator's motivation was to bring airsoftgun to injure his opponent," said AKP Bobi.

After deepening the person, he continued, the perpetrator had previously made an appointment with other friends via Instagram to gather inside the interior purifier, Kalibaru, to do a brawl.

After the KRYD team conducted patrols, the police actually found the whereabouts of the perpetrators.

"The airsoftgun carrier admitted that he had made an appointment with his colleague on Instagram first. So indeed this child had previously made an appointment with other friends to do a brawl around the Kalibaru area," he said.

For further processing, the perpetrators and evidence were then secured to the Cilincing Police.

"From his confession, he bought it through social media, for weapons, maybe around Rp. 500 thousand to Rp. 1 million," he said.

The perpetrator admitted that he had only brought the airsoftgun once. Usually he only carries sharp weapons for brawls. The perpetrator is part of a group called "Pepaya".

From the results of the police investigation, the airsoftgun is ready to be used. The airsoftgun is also equipped with Gotri ammunition.

"If airsoftgun is simple, it will be used. So he made an appointment with his friend, so he is preparing to bring an airsoftgun equipped with a Gotri bullet of 8 pills," he said.

The police chief ensured that this airsoftgun weapon was quite dangerous when it hit people.

"When it comes to vital parts, it must be deadly, if you get hit by the most bruises or injuries," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the perpetrators who are still underage, the Cilincing Police Criminal Investigation Unit has coordinated with related institutions for handling them. The suspect was charged with the Emergency Law with a minimum threat of 20 years in prison.
