Elected As The Boss Of The LPS, Anggito Returns The Mandate Of The Deputy Minister Of Finance To Prabowo

JAKARTA - Anggito Abimanyu has been officially appointed as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) for the period 2025 to 2030. He was chosen to replace Purbaya Yudha Sadive who was appointed Minister of Finance.

For your information, Anggito Abimanyu currently serves as Deputy Minister of Finance in the Red and White Cabinet for the 2024-2029 term with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Anggito said he would hand over his position as Deputy Minister of Finance to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, considering that there should be no concurrent positions.

"Yes, the point is that it is not allowed to hold a position, so automatically I will return the mandate of deputy ministerial position to the president," he said when met at the DPR Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 23.

Regarding his appointment as Head of LPS, Anggito appreciated the government for giving him the opportunity.

"Alhamdulillah, it has been decided through a plenary meeting. So I thank the President, to the Minister of Finance, for giving me the opportunity to serve in the position as it is today," he said.

Anggito is also optimistic that coordination with related ministries and institutions in the economic sector who are members of the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) in the future can run smoothly.

"In terms of the KSSK organization, it is synergistic, yes, now with the presence of Mr. Purbaya and I, as well as Mr. Perry Warjiyo and Mr. Mahendra, we have known for a long time, so personally there are no problems. And institutionally, it's getting better, "he said.
