Erick Thohir Remains Chairman Of PSSI After Receiving A Letter From FIFA
JAKARTA - Erick Thohir, who is now the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) of the Republic of Indonesia, will also remain the General Chairperson (Ketum) of PSSI. This follows a letter from FIFA received on Monday, September 22, 2025.
Based on the letter, Erick Thohir explained that the position of concurrent positions between the General Chairperson of PSSI and his new government position was held.
"This morning I got a FIFA letter, which stated in a Statute with my track record that has been around all this time in football, there is no conflict of interest."
"So, I am clean and clear. Well, of course as Menpora I maintain that balance," said Erick Thohir in an official statement quoted on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

With a letter from FIFA, Erick Thohir is still trusted to be the number one person in the Indonesian football federation until 2027.
